The short version

|---|---|---|
| Platform type | An industrial operations platform covering CRM, quoting, scheduling, purchasing, stock, timesheets and job costing, with the general ledger left to your accounting system. | A trade-focused job-management and field-service platform covering CRM, quoting, scheduling, projects, mobile field work, assets, maintenance, compliance, purchasing, inventory, invoicing, payments and reporting, with AroFlo Lightning adding AI capability. |
| Best fit | Fabrication, engineering, manufacturing and project or workshop businesses where labour, materials, purchasing and operational control have a major impact on job margin. | Trade, service, maintenance and project businesses where dispatch, mobile technicians, recurring asset work and field compliance are central to the operating model. |

Platform purpose and scope
What each platform is for
WorkGuru
WorkGuru runs the operational work between winning a job and knowing what it made. Quote it, schedule it, buy for it, allocate stock, capture labour and materials, manage changes, and track job costs as the work happens. It is deliberately not an accounting or payroll system — those connect to it.
AroFlo
AroFlo runs trade and field-service operations from enquiry and quote through scheduling, field work, projects, asset maintenance, compliance, purchasing, inventory, invoicing and payments. AroFlo Lightning adds AI agents for job preparation, technician training, documentation, customer communication and business questions. Its strongest orientation is mobile trade, service and maintenance work.
Best-fit use cases
- Trade, service and maintenance businesses with technicians spending significant time in the field
- Businesses managing recurring maintenance, customer assets, maintenance contracts, compliance and response-time commitments
- Trade contractors wanting strong scheduling, GPS, mobile workflows, supplier connectivity and integrated job costing
Industries and typical customers
WorkGuru is focused on fabrication, engineering, custom manufacturing, structural steel, mining services, heavy repair and related industrial project/workshop businesses. AroFlo: Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire, facilities, maintenance, construction and other field-service trades.

Pricing, rollout and what it really costs
WorkGuru pricing, implementation and ownership
Current WorkGuru AUD pricing: $350/month platform fee including the first 10 users; additional users $35/month; Inventory $300/month; Workflow Automations $200/month; Advanced Forms $150/month. DIY onboarding is free; guided onboarding and partner implementation are available for businesses that want more help. Re-confirm commercial pricing before publication.
AroFlo pricing
AroFlo’s current Premium pricing page asks buyers to request pricing rather than publishing a simple subscription rate. Its current FAQ says Premium monthly billing is based on the number of active users, with a minimum of three users, while annual billing is also available. A separate Smart Start start-up cost applies, with the exact subscription and onboarding package best confirmed directly with AroFlo before making a like-for-like comparison.
Implementation and time to value
AroFlo uses a structured rollout covering data preparation and imports, system configuration, accounting integration, workflow setup and staff training. Its current Getting Started guide says most clients are up and running within about four to six weeks and also makes clear that customers need to invest time between implementation sessions to configure, practise and prepare the system.
Total cost and complexity of ownership
Compare more than licence price: subscription, onboarding, migration, integrations, training, support, internal administration and any additional systems still required around the core platform. AroFlo includes broad field-service and trade-management depth that may remove the need for separate field tools; WorkGuru can be a narrower operational implementation where the existing accounting and payroll stack remains in place.
Switching
Moving from AroFlo to WorkGuru
Already using AroFlo? WorkGuru can scope a migration rather than assuming a greenfield setup. The migration plan should identify the customers, contacts, suppliers, products, open quotes, current jobs, WIP, documents and relevant history that need to remain operational. Exact import methods, timing and cost depend on the source data, available exports or APIs, and the agreed WorkGuru implementation path. Historical information that does not need to remain live can be retained separately. Do not promise that every AroFlo record or configuration will migrate until the source environment has been assessed.
The verdict
The matrix is evidence. This is the buying advice.
Where AroFlo is stronger
- Field-service dispatch, GPS, technician mobility and offline field workflows
- Recurring asset maintenance, preventative work, maintenance contracts and response-time management
- Deep trade supplier connectivity, with hundreds of connected suppliers and direct catalogue and ordering workflows
- Trade compliance, employee certifications and field forms
- AroFlo Lightning AI for technician preparation, documentation, training, customer communication and business insights
Where WorkGuru is stronger
- Workshop and industrial project planning using Work Areas for bays, machines, departments and other operational resources
- End-to-end industrial operations linking sales, substantial projects, workshop planning, purchasing, stock, labour and job margin without replacing the accounting system
- More explicit industrial inventory depth across serial, batch and FIFO tracking in the capability set compared here
- Purpose-built fit for fabrication, engineering and custom manufacturing teams whose work is centred on projects and workshops rather than field dispatch
Choose AroFlo if…
Choose WorkGuru if the business is primarily an industrial project or workshop operation and needs CRM, quoting, projects, Work Areas, purchasing, stock, labour and job profitability connected in one operational layer while keeping the existing accounting stack.
Choose WorkGuru if…
Choose WorkGuru if the business is primarily an industrial project or workshop operation and needs CRM, quoting, projects, Work Areas, purchasing, stock, labour and job profitability connected in one operational layer while keeping the existing accounting stack.
The bottom line…
AroFlo is the stronger fit for field-centric trade and maintenance operations. WorkGuru is the stronger fit for workshop- and project-centric industrial operations. Both cover substantial areas of quoting, jobs and projects, purchasing, inventory, labour, invoicing and reporting, so the better choice comes down largely to whether the operating model is driven by technicians and recurring service work in the field, or by substantial projects, workshop resources, materials and industrial job margin.
FAQs
AroFlo questions
Is AroFlo a direct WorkGuru competitor?
In some businesses, yes. The overlap depends on the operating model. This page is designed to show both the shared capability and where each platform is intentionally stronger.
Can we migrate from AroFlo to WorkGuru?
Yes, migration can be scoped as part of implementation. The exact data, timing and cost depend on the exports/APIs available from AroFlo and what history you want to retain.
Is WorkGuru cheaper?
Not necessarily in every scenario. Compare current licence pricing plus implementation, modules, integrations and the rest of the software stack. AroFlo pricing on this page is dated 21 August 2026.
Does WorkGuru do the setup?
It can. WorkGuru supports DIY setup, WorkGuru-assisted onboarding and partner implementation depending on complexity.
Where is AroFlo stronger than WorkGuru?
