Platform purpose and scope
What each platform is for
WorkGuru
WorkGuru runs the work between winning a job and knowing what it made. Quote it, schedule it, buy for it, book time and materials against it, and see the real cost while the job is still open rather than after invoicing. It is deliberately not an accounting system, a payroll system or a dispatch board — those connect to it.
Gojee
Gojee is a Xero-centred operational platform spanning leads, customer jobs, quoting, purchasing, inventory, manufacturing jobs, POS and asset service work. Its 2026 product has become more structured around configurable lead/job workflows, Kanban boards, native forms and recurring asset service jobs. It is a closer workshop competitor to WorkGuru than a typical trade app, although its workflow automation and project-planning depth remain narrower.
Best-fit use cases
- Manufacturing, engineering and fabrication businesses already committed to Xero
- Teams wanting job costing, scheduling, time tracking and inventory in one operational layer
- Businesses looking for an ERP alternative without a traditional ERP rollout
Industries and typical customers
Manufacturing, engineering and fabrication are explicit target markets. Gojee also supports service and manufacturing job types through add-ons.

Commercials
Pricing, rollout and what it really costs
WorkGuru pricing, implementation and ownership
WorkGuru publishes modular pricing. The current commercial model is a platform fee including the first 10 users, additional per-user pricing, and optional modules such as Inventory, Workflow Automations and Advanced Forms. Use the live pricing page for current figures rather than duplicating numbers that can go stale. Buyers can start DIY, use WorkGuru-assisted onboarding, or use an implementation partner. Total ownership cost should be assessed across subscription, onboarding, migration, training, integrations and ongoing administration – not subscription price alone.
Gojee pricing
Published pricing: AUD $49 per user/month with a 5-user minimum for core functionality. Inventory is a published AUD $400 per organisation/month add-on. Enterprise pricing is custom. Gojee also offers free self-guided through to paid white-glove onboarding.
Implementation and time to value
Self-guided or assisted. Gojee publishes a discovery, Xero connection/import, configuration, training and go-live process.
Total cost and complexity of ownership
Relatively transparent subscription model, but inventory materially changes the monthly cost. Xero remains part of the required operating stack.
Switching
Moving from Gojee to WorkGuru
Already using Gojee? WorkGuru can scope a migration rather than assuming a greenfield setup. The migration plan should identify the records you need to bring across, what can be imported, what should remain as historical reference, integration cutover, training and go-live. Exact scope, timing and cost depend on the quality and structure of the source data and the implementation path selected. Do not promise that every historical record or configuration will migrate until the source data has been assessed.
The verdict
The matrix is evidence. This is the buying advice.
Where Gojee is stronger
- Very tight Xero positioning and two-way accounting connection
- Clear job-costing focus
- Inventory add-on includes barcode, batch, serial and stock reservation features
- Direct fit for businesses wanting a Xero-centred operating stack
Where WorkGuru is stronger
- Broader CRM and quote follow-up layer
- Deeper workshop planning through Work Areas (bays, machines, departments etc.) and workshop/resource scheduling
- Broader procurement roadmap including RFQs and supplier quote comparison
- Broader compliance, forms, qualifications and operational documentation model
- Workflow automation and AI roadmap across operational work
Choose Gojee if…
Choose Gojee if Xero is the centre of your systems architecture and you want a tightly Xero-oriented job-costing platform with manufacturing and inventory capability.
Choose WorkGuru if…
Choose WorkGuru if you want a broader operational platform around sales, projects, workshop planning, purchasing, inventory, compliance and job profitability – particularly where the business needs more structure before and during the job, not only strong cost visibility.
The bottom line
Gojee can be the better choice when its core operating model matches the business. WorkGuru should win when the buyer needs a connected operational system around projects and workshop execution with a purpose-built industrial operations platform that can scale from SMB implementation through more structured assisted or partner-led rollouts.
FAQs
Gojee questions
Is WorkGuru a replacement for Gojee?
It can be when the business wants WorkGuru’s operating model and capability set. The right answer depends on which Gojee workflows are actually used today, integrations, data migration and any specialist requirements that must remain elsewhere.
Can we migrate from Gojee to WorkGuru?
Yes, migration can be scoped as part of implementation. What comes across, what remains as historical reference, timing and cost depend on the source data and agreed implementation plan.
Do we have to implement WorkGuru ourselves?
No. WorkGuru supports DIY implementation, WorkGuru-assisted onboarding and partner implementation. Choose the level of help that matches the complexity of the rollout.
How should we compare total cost?
Compare subscription, onboarding, migration, training, integrations and ongoing administration. Avoid comparing a single licence price where the platforms package scope differently.
Is WorkGuru cheaper than Gojee?
That depends on user count, modules, implementation scope and the systems each option replaces or still requires. Use current published pricing and a like-for-like implementation scenario rather than a blanket savings claim.

How this comparison was prepared
This page was prepared by WorkGuru and compares WorkGuru with Gojee. Competitor product information should be based on publicly available sources and reviewed on the date shown above. Features, pricing and product capabilities can change. If information is disputed, review the underlying source and correct the page where required. Customer proof
[CUSTOMER PROOF REQUIRED] Prefer a named customer that moved from Gojee, evaluated Gojee, or replaced a comparable stack. Include the starting problem, why WorkGuru was selected, implementation path and a specific operational result. Do not invent migration or win-rate claims without approved evidence.
Checked 3 September 2026. WorkGuru verdicts are preserved from the supplied comparison page. Gojee was re-audited against current first-party product documentation.
Scope note: Gojee’s May 2026 documentation materially upgrades several rows from the old draft: customer jobs now have native Kanban, organisation settings include configurable workflows and native forms, and the Asset Management add-on automatically generates service jobs against asset service schedules.
